Marknowhereman, A Filipino we can learn from

To see his amazing works, check out his Youtube channel below:

Mark, is one of the few of Filipinos who shows to the World what the real Philippines looks like. He uses his works from his Speed Bike business to do charity works, and spreads awareness about the poverty amongst Filipinos. He films not for his personal benefit, but to spread awareness to the World the living impoverished conditions of people in the Philippines. He has stated that he do if you genuinely want to help, do it silently there is no use of broadcasting or filming of reaching out, but he has said he does it to spread awareness and show the world about the real society in Philippines.

He has also addressed the Social & Political problems in the Philippines in between the scenes of a poor-family he reaches out to, also the history what has lead to the economic inequality and unbalanced trade.

As a American-Filipino myself, who stayed 6 years in Philippines as a College student, who took College at a University in Manila, I have seen such social and economic inequality amongst the big population of Filipinos. I have seen the harsh living conditions of people who live in the slums, especially in the Manila area of Tondo and other Barangays. Too many kids going around running in the streets and even begging around pedestrians for food and money.

It is true that Philippines has beautiful islands with attractive beaches and clear blue water and great bamboo houses, it is also true that Philippines is flooded with nice fancy malls and condos, but that is just one part of Philippines. Philippines lives in 2-worlds, the Slums with the very poor who are exploited, underpaid and going out to beg, living in harsh stinky areas with broken buildings, trash over flooded and muddy trash alleys, and on the other side are fancy houses and condos where the ultra-rich live in where they can manipulate the prices, change tax reforms and make everything at an expensive price.

Philippines is a paradise for the big time, privileged and elites, but it is a very rotten country for the very poor who struggle everyday, wishing for more, begging, and living with no choice but to accept that if they're poor. its alight, there is no way of fighting it.

Also, Philippines had a long struggle between the Communists and non-Communists, and tragically, there is thing called "Red-tagging", meaning, if you criticize the government, you help the poor, criticize the system, it automatically assumes you're a terrorist, is just plain wrong.

Unfortunately, the mentality of the Filipinos is "Study, Graduate and move abroad, immigrate and become a citizen of that country, and find that Job with your degree, make money and send money to your Philippine relatives". If a Foreigner help the poor Filipinos, criticizes the rotten structure, here is a Filipino's reaction, "OMG! this is very offensive!", "You HATE the Philippines!", "He/She is just a Filipino-American who does not like the poor Filipinos!". When a Filipinos tries to help his/her fellow countrymen/Countrywomen, the reaction is "He/She is an anti-Government Activist", "You're a Terrorist", "You are a member of the New People's Army!"

Religious fanaticism plays a big role in the Philippine society, unfortunately, the extremism of the Catholic Church is one of the reasons why Philippines is poor, divided and the country is seeing a population skyrocketing. The Catholic Church runs like the Church order owns the Country. Technically, Philippines is a theocracy, because the Church has total control and high-ranking Priests are always going out and influencing the election, and preaches to their followers who to VOTE.
The Wealth of the Catholic Church thrives out of the poor suffering Filipinos living in impoverished life, because they know their wealth comes when the Priests LIE about the teachings to their followers. An article from Daily Inquirer interviewed a Bishop who justified blocking Birth Control and Reproductive Health. Overpopulation good for Filipinos, says bishop | Inquirer News

While it is true that the Oligarchs are playing a role, the biggest role is the Church, which is why Philippines is the only catholic country not to allow divorce, and one of the few that still does not allow abortion, family planning, and sterilization/sanitation. Most high-ranking Preachers are always Preaching in the pulpit saying "It is good to be in poverty, suffer and keep bringing babies into this world, because it is a blessing to bring Filipinos to move and migrate abroad, and for all to become Overseas Filipinos Workers, because it is God's determination for Philippines to stay poor and for Filipinos to keep moving abroad". Behind the curtain, these Preachers have dozens of mistresses, big mansions and have several sports cars and SUVs.

The Materialist ideology brought to the Filipinos by the Americans lead to a result of many poor Filipinos thinking of more and more materials, rather than to just enjoy what they have. I too have noticed that in several poor countries, at least most poor people are humbled enough to enjoy the basic things they have, but in the materialist system in Philippines, the Philippine society always indoctrinated many Filipinos to just keep wanting for more and more, instead of what they have. For example, some poor countries enjoy having one iPhone, but with Filipinos, they want more iPhone and more iPhone, instead of just enjoying one iPhone.

He means that Cuba, a country that has been sanctioned by the US for 60 years still had improved in spite the embargo, with one of the best healthcare and education system in the western hemisphere, being one of the highest literacy rates with free education.

You can watch Mark's video about his trip to Cuba with this link:

Cuba has one of the most beautiful cultures with folk dances, music and tobacco.

The Lumad tribe and the Aeta tribe are among the most oppressed tribes in the whole Philippines.

Aetas were the original Filipinos before the migration of the Polynesian/Austronesian ethnicity and other migrants/settlers.

The Lumads are also among the oppressed and invaded tribes in the whole Philippines. The Military is used to sweep them from their lands, so that Foreign companies can use those lands for mining. The current Philippine President has also said in his speech that if they do not leave, the Military will bomb their houses and schools, and he also has even accused the tribe of teaching their children to rebel against the government, accuses them of being terrorist recruiters, while it is the Army that is destroying their community.

The legacy of Colonialism left a Whitewash mentality to the Filipinos.

When SPAIN came to these Islands, they brought their version of Catholicism, European-feudal system, Education, Family values, Slavery, Oppression, and a racist culture that discriminates brown-skinned natives and the lighter-skinned Spaniards.

When the UNITED STATES took over, the Americans brought their culture of Capitalism, Hollywood, White Supremacy ideology — discrimination between the darker-skinned vs lighter-skinned Filipinos, Education, Materialism and how to run politics & law.

There is no doubt how the Spaniards brought the mentality of INFERIORITY, while the Americans brought their ideology of SUPERIORITY. It is no wonder why the Philippine culture is a manifestation of INFERIORITY vs SUPERIORITY complex.

This does not happen all the time, but I have observed a particular mindset in where, Filipinos feel inferior to anything Western culture (North American & European), while felling Superior to Eastern culture (Southeast Asian, South Asian).

It is no wonder why in the minds of the Filipinos, feel like Caucasian people towards darker-looking people, African, Indian and other Southeast Asian nationals, feel only that their Asian towards Caucasians, I see many Africans in Philippines, mostly foreign students, and are looked down at by many brown and even light skinned Filipinos, even the uneducated street kids calling these Africans the N-word or even “Negro” or “Negra”.

I was with 2 of my African best buddies, one from Sudan and one from Nigeria where, some street kids intimidating them, and called them the “N-Word”.

Even some Filipino-Blacks have made blogs and testimonies of their experience being called the “N****r” or “Negra” for simply because of their dark-skin complexion.

This is due to the White Supremacy ideology brought by racist people from the United States during the US colonization of Philippines.

Whitening products are a world phenomenon, but in Philippines, the market of Whitening products are extremely huge, likely because of being that White-skin means wealth, while Brown-skin means poverty, these are products coming from South Korea and Japan.

Being that Whitening is becoming too much of a Market in Philippines, many Filipinos are being taught to be ashamed of their darker-skin, and that they should use whitening soaps to get whiter, but a reminder, these products are very dangerous for the skin, and can cause skin cancer.

Mark has even made videos about Filipinas who choose to marry Caucasian Foreigners over their fellow Filipinos, because they believe that Foreigner is a gate out of poverty and a good life. Not all Filipino men are cheaters to their spouse, and not all Caucasian Foreigners can give the Filipina a good life.

The Truth is that, majority of older White Males who are seen with Filipinas who are way younger than them, and the age gap is huge, only come to Philippines to experience sexual pleasures on young Filipinas.

I have also seen, and I believe to be true when commentators/bloggers who says the same thing. I have seen how a Foreigner is seen with Filipinas in one arm and on the other, because these Filipinas have made the Foreigner feel like He is a King, treating them like subject, while these Foreigners feel like celebrities, being surrounded by girls.

During my time in Philippines, I had a feeling of being special and I felt like a King who had to be treated differently, then I did start to realize that I was just being used by opportunists, until I cut those people off. I started to realize that it was part of the rotten culture for Filipinos to look up high on Foreigners.

Some of Mark's videos cover reports about Foreigners:

Some of Mark's video on why Filipinas, especially with brown-skin are very beautiful:

Mark's videos about Philippine Beauty Pageants:

You see what is wrong with the picture, 4 of the pageants with grey-brown dresses are brown-skin from brown-skin majority Countries, only one from a brown-skin majority Country is a White-skin, the red-dress in the middle.

Show Business and TV series in Philippines:
It is tragic that majority of celebrities in Philippines are a minority of the majority of ethnicity in Philippines. The native-brown-skin Filipinos are being discriminated at, while the race-mix, the Half-Filipinos/Half-Caucasians are the super stars in almost all of the TV shows in Philippines. While it is a fact that a lot of of these Filipinos who get into Show Business in Philippines are Filipino-Americans, Filipino-Canadians, Filipino-Australians and from other European countries. Unfortunately, these half-Filipinos do not represent the Philippines. These half-Filipinos where born outside Philippines and raised in other countries, only to get groomed in Philippines as actors/actresses, who they themselves have not even grew-up in the Philippines. These half-Filipinos do not even speak really Tagalog, and they where only taught Tagalog when they are in Show Business, and many of them speak a lousy Tagalog.

For the pageants:
It is unfortunate the majority of Filipinas who get into the international pageants are coincidentally half-Filipinos, who also they themselves where not born in Philippines, did not grow-up in Philippines, who spent their lives in other countries, who only where only in upbringing when they came to Philippines out of nowhere. They coincidentally only spoke Tagalog when they were upbrought as Filipinas.

It is outrageous and an insult to a majority of Filipinos to have Philippines be represented by half-Filipinos who where not born in Philippines and did not grew up in Philippines. Especially it is an insult to the darker-skin Filipinos to be represented in Show Business, Sports and Pageants to those who are lighter-skin.

Mark has a lot of videos addressing those matters.

Several screenshots from his videos:
I have also noticed how Caucasian are given high regards in the Philippines society amongst Filipino women. Also, the being that White-Men being the Prince Charming to the Filipinas is very noticeable. Caucasian tourists are given more respect than other tourists, likely due to the Whitewashing indoctrination. They also act like they can help the poor Filipinas because they can take advantage of the Filipina.

In Mark's video, Who Really Own The Philippines? Do the Filipinos Own the Philippines? - YouTube, he addresses that Foreigners are the real owners of the Philippines, while the native Filipinos are the slaves, and the Foreigners are the employers while the Filipinos are the employees. Unfortunately, Philippines is a Neo-Colony of Countries like Korea, China, Japan and the United States. The US still conducts Military training in Philippines, in spite the Philippines gained its independence and moved its Military bases out of the Islands. Philippines is also a Neo-Colony of both South Korea and China. For South Korea, Television networks are overwhelmed with Korean drama shows, Billboards are filled with Korean models with Korean brands/signatures. Malls are filled with Korean brands, especially Whitening soaps coming from Korea and Japan, and Korean Actors/Singers are overwhelming popular amongst the whole Philippine population, also not to mention that Korean supermarkets are everywhere. For the Chinese, Chinese and Filipino-Chinese are among the richest people in Philippines. Chinatown is huge in Philippines, like the Binondo area, and there are many Chinese Mandarin signs everywhere. Chinese also have control of Philippines monetary. President Duterte himself is obviously a puppet of China.

When I was hanging around in the nightlife areas of Malate, everywhere I go, I see elderly Caucasian foreigners/tourists, mostly from European countries, Australia and New Zealand who are like 60-70+ years of age, hanging around, mingling with Filipinas who are way and way younger, as young as 15-22 years of age.

Watching Mark's video made me believe that we should reach out one family at a time who are in deep poverty and heavily in debt. The poverty in Philippines is way too strong that the population keeps getting poorer and poorer.

Filipinos love to gossip, talk about personal lives, not because they're poor, but because of the bent and shallowed mindset, they spend too much time making fun of other people, instead of paying attention to current news affairs. Mark has said in several of his videos that many Filipinos and corporate Media are obsessed with 98% of talking about the personal lives of Celebrities, love-life of other celebrities, while 2% are news affairs like Politics, Corruption, and other Social issues.

Filipinos will remain poor as lone as they have a bent mentality, instead of addressing of the social issues, and how it can change, many of them are talking about their favorite celebrities, talking and gossiping the personal lives of their friends, family and celebrities, blindly supporting their favorite Politician, the same politician they complain is so corrupt, and not thinking of a long-term finances, instead, fall into the vote-buying.
